Want to go for a walk and give your kids a little taste of nature at it's best? Let me suggest a little outing to Newport Beach's Environmental Nature Center. You'll find: winding trails, a butterfly pavilion, an impressive cactus garden, and engaging kid friendly informative displays. There are several picnic tables along the trails that are perfect for lunch or a snack too. I found the mature trees and flowering plants especially serene; a nice escape from concrete and hustle and bustle. We found the ENC to be perfect for kids 3 to 8. If you are a local, I highly recommend taking a stroll and sharing lunch with your littles in this lovely trove.
