Our Week In Pics

This week was nonstop.
The hubs was out of town for three days so I flew solo at the weeks start.
Once he returned home it was go, go, go!
Our week included: a birthday, Open House, a field trip to Tanaka Farms for strawberry picking, a campout at our cousin's house, a visit to Prehistoric Pets
and a sweet celebration in honor of my nephew's first holy communion.

The next two weeks on our calendar promise to be activity filled x2.  Lord help me keep up this pace!

Our Week in Pics

I am back to snapping lots of pics after a bit of a hiatus.
We have been basking in family activity; May is like that isn't it?
When I look over the pictures, all the planning, getting ready and running around
prove to be worth it in the smiles on our faces.
 Enjoy our week in pics!

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel

About 10 days ago, the hubs took me by surprise and proposed a family stay at Disney's Californian Grand Hotel.  I was hesitant at first, but after visiting the web site, park hopping, swimming pools, eating out and no housekeeping, sort of won me over.

We began our adventure with Goofy's Kitchen.  The kids loved the personal attention by the Disney characters and the hubs and I were delighted to watch them in awe.

The hotel really was "Grand."  I was mesemerized by the beautiful beams in the lobby and found all the  magical Disney touches executed perfectly.  I was particularly fond of Storyteller's Cafe. The restaurant catered to children and adults alike and the California Western theme was impressive.  Our room was comfortable and suited our family of five well.  (see our princess in the top bunk!)

When it came to attractions we couldn't have been more pleased.  The crowds were manageable and the cast members were friendly and courteous as always.  Just look at our faces, we really had a "Grand" time.

It was also a treat to have Uncle Steffen join us for our last afternoon and evening.  We braved the Matterhorn and Grizzly Rapids together, enjoyed his company on slew of other fun attractions too.

If you are like us, (an OC family with little ones and pass holders) spare yourselves the aggravation of travel arrangements, long flights and added expenses and book a stay at The Grand Californian Hotel.
