Our Week in Pics

This week we had Daddy's Night at Isabella's school. We are blessed with a school that truly celebrates family. It was a night of pizza and fun activities.
Isabella was giddy with excitement.
Heartfelt thanks to the teachers and staff for the great event!

Joseph had his first professional haircut.
We got an early start to trick-or-treating at our neighborhood shopping center.
The kids had a blast.  While Michael was hesitant about wearing his pirate costume,
he soon warmed up to the idea once he saw candy was involved.

Wishing you a fun filled Halloween and last week of October!

Give

As we start to enter the holiday season, it is the perfect time to get into the giving spirit.  If you have been blessed with "enough" please share with those who are struggling to get by. While it may be convenient to reach in your wallet and hand over a few dollars, do not under estimate the gift of your time as well. Here are a few suggestions where you can give a hand up:
  • Drop off last year's sweaters and jackets your children have outgrown to Goodwill/Salvation Army
  • Fill a bag and donate nonperishables for a Holiday Dinner (mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, etc.)
  • Volunteer your time to your child's school
  • Write and send holiday cards for a senior citizen in your community
  • Donate books to your public library
  • Give blood
  • Purchase a gift for a child in need (visit your local church for gender, ages, and specific needs)
  • Collect socks for a homeless shelter
  • Walk or Run for a cause
  • Hold a garage or yard sale and donate the earnings to a charity of your choice
  • Bring some treats to your neighborhood police/fire department
  • Take an assortment of puzzles and games (checkers, Connect Four, and Uno) to your local after school care facility
  • Adopt a soldier

Above all, BE the change you want to see in the world!
